OOSH VACATION CARE

oosh.pngWe are getting close to the holidays and many parents are looking for Vacation Care. Unfortunately, St Nicholas OOSH us not providing any care from our service here at Shortland. The only service available at present through St Nicholas is at the Mayfield service and if you wish to take advantage of it you will need to book in ASAP.

Whilst this is not the best scenario for our families it is the only one. And if we want to have a Vacation Care service at Shortland we need to jump up and down and make our voices heard at head office. The phone contact details are tel:0249791110.

The children will be called to assemble in the primary classrooms at about 6:15pm to start the concert at 6:30pm. The HAMPER RAFFLES will be draw at thew conclusion of the concert.

There is a whisper from the elves we might be treated to a visit from the Jolly Fellow in red after the concert.

school_captain.jpg

On Thursday this week, the children in Year 5 presented themselves to the school community putting forward their arguments as to why they would make good School and Sports Captains. They did a wonderful job outlining their skills and leadership credentials.

The students and staff will cast their votes on Monday next week. The announcement of the 2025 captains will be made at the final assembly on Wednesday 18 December.
