WELCOME BACK

AT LAST!! -- We are certainly excited to have the children back fulltime after a long stint at someting new. Whilst the expereince is someting different, we now need to get back into routines that will focus on getting the children back to optimal learning mode.

Thank you all for your understanding of the restrictions placed on parental access, dismissal etc, as it can cause a lot of anxieties in the children and parents alike. 

We appreciate the words of support from parents and the team effort going into the children's education these last few weeks.

LOOKING FORWARD

We look forward to  bringing some normalcy to our community as we prepare for term 3. With luck we should start to see access for parents into the school grounds, albeit regulated a little. This will also mean we can start to have visitors, outside service providers etc into the school. Cross your fingers.

SCHOOL PHOTOS

We were meant to have the children's photos taken last week but sadly, as with all our other planned events, we were unable to go ahead. We have a new date available if all goes to plan. Please keep 22 October in your diaries as the alternative date.

KINDER 2021

We are open for Enrollment for Kinder 2021. If you know of someone looking to enrol their child next year please let them know. Children need to be 5 years old by May 31 in 2021.

HIGH SCHOOL ENROLMENTS

Year 6 parents seeking enrolment for their child at San Clemente for Year 7 should have returned their applications for enrolment by now. If you are still looking to enrol at San Clemente, then you should do so as soon as possible.

Those seeking Year 7 enrolment at our local public High Schools should contact them directly. 

SPORTS LEVY

Part of the annual fees that parents pay is the Sports Levy. This levy covers the Term 2 Sport activity (such as Gymnastics, Dance, Tennis) the cost of buses for our carnivals etc. Because none of these are going ahead the Sport Levy will not be collected this year. Those who have paid all or some of the levy will have it credited against their Tuition Fees.

We do not wish to pressure families with statements at this stage as we understand the difficulties many are expereincing. We are not expecting any payments this term but if you would like an updated statement or would like to pay some, please contact Leanne in the office.

SEMESTER 1 REPORTS

Parents should have received a letter from the Head of Teaching and Learing for the CSO explaining how this semester's reports will be done. All schools in the Diocese will be following these guidelines.  It is attached here. Please read to to see what to expect this semester.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Georgina and Xavier, who both lost a grandparent last week. It is a sad time for them and their families. We wish them God's peace and strength as they seek comfort for their loss. 

BABY BOOM

It seem the COVID  lockdown wasn't all bad. 4 children received special gifts in recent weeks.  Congratulations to the the Kamanzi's with baby Deborah, Nolan-Jones' with baby Eli, Hannan's with baby Harriette, Kakoulidis with baby Yarni and Forbes with baby Alliyah. Best wishes to all the new family members and all their new big sisters and brothers.

CHILDREN'S UNIVERSITY

It's great to see so many getting into their little projects and learning modes. Don't forget to bring them into school so we can verify the hours and sign off the passports. Keeping an eye on the Children's University FaceBook page will give the children lots of ideas to log hours.
