St Mary of the Cross Feast Day 8th August
As most of you would have seen our Monday Liturgy was all about St Mary of the Cross. Mary MacKillop is is now known as St Mary of the Cross MacKillop. She was an Australian woman who devoted herself to caring for the poor and defending the rights of all people. Her dedication and trust in God inspired all Australians and many people throughout the world. Mary’s example was followed by other women. We celebrate her life with the Sisters of St Joseph who continue her good work today. This is a great YouTube clip you might like to watch with your children about the life of Mary https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dwk74bbMcuM
