FACE - Families and community engagement

FACE MEETING

We had another positive meeting last Monday evening. Our F2F and online option seems to be working. Some of the discussion points included:

PB4L:Mrs Deegan presented how we are about to dive  more deeply into our PB4L journey. See the presentation in the AP’s Report.

V&M Statement: Thanks was passed onto how well parents prepared themselves and those selected children for the video message being prepared. We concentrated on In truth we LOVE, empowering all to flourish and reach their full potential.  We will be looking for the next cast when we finish looking closely at our second mission.

Transition to FACE: At the moment we are awaiting the final word from Bishop Michael on his decision to allow the P&F Association to be dissolved and formally take up the model of Family and Community Engagement (FACE). Once this approval is given, the P&F Back account will be closed and moved into the school administration account. Any Fund Raising and Expenses accrued for FACE activity will be have a special coding within the financial system and reports can be generated.

Canteen: Thanks to those that have been helping out with either lunches of snacks. Your service is much appreciated. If you find a spare day that you can help out, let us know so we can conduct a HOT DOG MEAL DEAL in the next couple of weeks, but we need someone to put up their hand to organise this – HOW ABOUT YOU?

How to do it:  Parents would like to know how to do some of the maths strategies we teach so they can support their children in their learning. Mrs Dunn has offered to present some basic maths skills & tricks for parents at our next meeting.

Feedback:  If you have something you wish to have discussed at our meetings, please drop a note intop the old P&F Mailbox in the office.

Uniform Pool

The uniform pool is run by volunteers and aims to provide second-hand school uniforms at an affordable cost for families.

The uniform pool is open on Tuesday mornings (8.45-9.15am) and Wednesday afternoons (2.45-3.10pm).

Payment can be made by cash or EFTPOS. We can no longer accept direct debit payments.

We would appreciate any donations of outgrown uniforms that are in a clean, wearable condition. Donations can be left at the school office.

A price list is attached below.
